The A2 category of driving license allows you to operate motorcycles without sidecars with an engine power of 35 kW. The power/weight ratio of the vehicle cannot exceed 0.2kW/kg.

Motorcycles and scooters
Driving license category A2 is the next level of a motorcycle driver's licence. This allows you to drive mopeds and small motorcycles of up to 50cc. The category A2 driving licence is valid until you reach the age of 24. It may be used with a car driving license category A1 or as part of a provisional category B driver's licence. Vehicles with four wheels

This category also includes vehicles such ambulances, hearses and carryalls that are designed to transport eight or more people or have a weight limit of 750kg or more. A1 drivers are able to drive such vehicles with a trailer weighting up to 775kg.
You must pass the theory test to be able to drive a car in this category. To pass you need to take a total of 12 lessons for 90 minutes of the base material and an additional 4 lessons lasting 90 minutes for the additional (category A2). The test for the theory requires a minimum score of 70 percent.
After passing the theory test you will have to take a road test examination on both private and public roads. After passing both tests, you will receive an application for your driving license. This request should be submitted to the local authority within three years after passing your practical test.
Once you have passed your driving test, you are able to begin driving vehicles in the category A2. Motor vehicles with 5 or more wheels
This category includes vehicles with motors that are specifically designed to be used on the roads to transport goods or passengers. These vehicles should have at least 2 or 3 wheels that are in contact with the ground and a driver's seat or saddle, and a motor that can reach speeds of 20 miles an hour or more. These vehicles come with brakes as well as a steering wheel. They can also be controlled and travelled in reverse. In some cases the hoods of these vehicles may be opened. This term was traditionally used for trucks (vans minivans, minivans, panel, pickups, sport utility vehicles) and buses that hold more than 16 passengers. A slightly different definition is used by an additional federal requirement that sets uniform licensing standards for drivers of commercial vehicles. This definition excludes vehicles that weigh 26,001 pounds gross weight or more.

Motor vehicles with trailers

The license you are granted for Category A2 is valid for three years from the date you successfully pass your theory exam. To keep it valid, you must renew it before the expiration date.
In addition to the categories listed above, you may also get a licence to drive other vehicles that have special requirements. For instance, you'll need an exclusive license to drive a large-sized goods vehicle, which is classified as category C.
