The A2 category of driving license permits the use of motorcycles without sidecars, with an engine power of 35 kW. Scooters and motorcycles
Driving license category A2 is the second stage of a motorcycle driving license. It permits you to drive small motorcycles (up to 50cc) and mopeds with a maximum capacity of 125cc. This class permits you to gradually increase the horsepower of your vehicle and imagine larger engines. The test is more difficult than that of the first category, and you'll need to study more for it.
The category A2 driving licence is valid until you reach the age of 24. It can be used in conjunction with a car driving licence category A1 or as a part of a provisional category kat b driver's license. You can obtain your group A1 licence at the age of 16 (in Denmark, Malta, and Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and in Germany, Hungary, Iceland and in the following countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Italy and Poland). Once you are over 16, you must take the motorbike test in category A2. You must pass the test before reaching the age of 18. After two years you can change to category A.
After passing the test in category A2, you are allowed to operate a motorcycle, with or without a sidecar, as well as vehicles that have up to 35 kW of power. These vehicles must also have a weight/power ratio of no more than 0.2 kg/kW and cannot be made from a vehicle that has twice the power of the maximum.
If you have passed the two-part examination for a moped or motorcycle that is lower in class from the 1st July 1996, you are able to skip the theory test and take only the practical test. You can ride a smaller moped or scooter equipped with L plates, or obtain the new AM licence which allows you to ride 50cc motorcycles with a maximum speed of 45mph. The AM licence will only be valid if you've passed the test in your theory and have completed nine hours of training, divided into theory and practical lessons at a driving school.
Four-wheeled vehicles
This category covers all motorized vehicles with four wheels, with the exception of buses and passenger cars. Also, it includes utility vehicles such as pickups, panels and vans. After passing your driving test, you are able to begin driving vehicles in the category A2. Motor vehicles with 5 or more wheels
This category comprises vehicles with motors specifically designed to be used on the roads to transport passengers or goods. These vehicles should include at least two or three wheels that are in contact with the ground and a driver's seat or saddle and a motor that can be able to travel at speeds of 20 miles per hour or more. These vehicles come with brakes as well as a steering wheel. They also have the ability to steer in a straight line and can also travel in reverse. In some cases they have a hood or other covering that can be opened. In the past, this term has been applied to trucks (van, mini-van panel, pickup sport utility) and buses that hold 16 or more passengers. Physically disabled people may be granted the privilege of driving category A1 or motor tricycles.
Some people choose to get an operator's license. This is valid for vehicles up to 8 passengers and a maximum mass of 3,500kg. Drivers with an operator license are permitted to tow trailers that weigh up to 750kg MAM. They can also operate a tractor or a construction equipment with a trailer that weighs up to 3,500kg MAM.

Motor vehicles with trailers
The A2 category includes motorized vehicles with trailers. These are not vehicles pulled by the driver, but rather are towed behind larger vehicles like cars.
