Driving License Category A2
The category A2 driving licence permits you to drive motorcycles with no sidecar and a maximum engine power of 35 kW. Its power/weight ratio cannot exceed 0.2 kg/kW.
This driving licence is designed to let you get your first small motorcycle driving license early and then progress to the A2 licence, which has more engine power.
Scooters and motorcycles
Driving license category A2 is the second stage of motorcycle driving licence. It permits the use of small motorcycles (up to 50cc) and mopeds with a maximum capacity of 125cc. The course is designed to let you slowly climb the ladder of power and cautiously fantasize about an even bigger one. The test is more difficult than the first category, and you will need to study more to prepare.
The category A2 driver's license is valid until the age of 24. It can be used in conjunction with a car driving license category A1 or as a part of a provisional category B driver's licence. If you're older than 24 years old, however you must have the full category B driving license is required to drive motorcycles that have a maximum power of 35 kW.
You can obtain your group A1 license at 16 years old (in Denmark, Malta, and Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic; in Germany, Hungary, Iceland and in the following countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Italy and Poland). When you reach the age of 16 you must pass the A2 category motorbike test. You must pass the test before you turn 18. After two years, you are able to be upgraded to category A.
After passing the test in category A2, you're allowed to drive a motorcycle, with or without sidecar, and vehicles that have up to 35 kW of power. They must also have a power/weight ratio of no greater than 0.2 kg/kW and must not be made from a vehicle that has twice the power of the maximum.
If you have passed a two-part moped or lower category motorcycle test as of the 1st July 1996 then you are eligible to skip the theory test and take the test in practice. You can ride a smaller moped or scooter with L plates or take the new AM licence, which allows you to ride 50cc bikes with a top speed of 45mph. The AM licence will only be valid if you have taken the test in your theory and have completed nine hours of instruction divided into theory and practical lessons at driving schools.
Motor vehicles with 4 wheels
This category covers all motor vehicles with four wheels that aren't buses or passenger vehicles. This category also includes utility vehicles such as pickups vans, panels and

This category also includes vehicles such ambulances, hearses, and carryalls designed to carry eight or more passengers or have a maximum mass of more than 750kg. A1 drivers can drive such vehicles with a trailer that weighs up to 775kg.
To drive a vehicle of this class, you have to have passed the theory test. You must complete 12 90-minute classes on the basic material, and 4 90-minute lessons on the additive (category AA2). The theoretical tests are a passing score of 70%.
After passing the theory test, you will be required to pass a driving examination on both private and public roads. If you pass both tests, you will be issued with the request for a driver's license. This request should be submitted to the local authority within three years after passing your practical test.
Once you have passed your driving test, you can begin to drive vehicles of the category A2. In certain countries, if held an full A1 licence for two years, you will not have to take a separate driving test to get a category A2 license that permits you to drive motorcycles up to 35 kW. This is a reason to gain experience operating less powerful two-wheel vehicles before making the move to more powerful machines.
If you have a driver's licence in category A2, you are able to drive a tricycle as long as it has an engine capacity of 125cc, and an output power of 11kW. This category was previously part of the A licence. All drivers who were issued a full category B licence before the 19th of January, 2013 were able to ride mopeds, too and retain this right.
Motor vehicles with five or more wheels
This category includes vehicles powered by electricity that are designed for use on the road, and for the transport of goods or people. They must have at the very least two or three wheels in contact with the ground and a saddle or seat for the driver and passenger and the ability to produce speeds of 20 miles per hour or more. These vehicles are usually equipped with a steering wheel as well as brakes. They can also be steered and travelled in reverse. In certain instances these vehicles are equipped with a hood or another covering that can be opened. In the past, this term has been applied to trucks (van, mini-van, panel, pickup, sport utility) and busses that carry 16 or more passengers. However, a separate set of federal requirements that govern uniform licensing standards for commercial vehicle drivers uses an entirely different definition, which excludes vehicles that have gross weight ratings of 26,001 pounds or more.
The category A2 driving license can also be used to drive moped, motorized cycle or motorcycle. This type of license is only valid for motors with the maximum cylinder volume of 125 cubic centimeters or a maximum power of 15 kilowatts. It is also possible to use it to drive motor tricycles. The minimum age for this license class is 16 years old. Physically disabled individuals may be granted a provisional right to ride category A1 or motor tricycles.
Some people choose to get an operator's license. This is valid for vehicles up to 8 passenger seats and a maximum mass of 3,500kg. A driver's operator license allows them to tow trailers that weigh up to 750kg MAM. They can also haul a trailer that weighs up to 3,500kg with a tractor or construction equipment.
As the designs of various types of three- and two-wheeled vehicles continue to change, it's important that NHTSA keep its guidance up to date. Motor vehicles that have trailers
The A2 category includes motorized vehicles with trailers. These are not vehicles that are pulled by the driver, but are pulled behind larger vehicles like cars. This category includes, for example, a tractor towing a trailer, or small trucks that are designed to carry loads, such as the ones used by plumbers and painters to transport supplies and tools to the site of work. The maximum authorised mass (MAM) in this category is 8,250kg.
You must pass the theory test of category
prawo jazdy a1 or have a direct entry driving licence to drive vehicles in this class. Depending on the type of vehicle you are interested in, you may have to pass a test of practical test prior to being able to drive it.
The license you get for Category A2 is valid for a period of three years on the day you pass your theory test. You must renew it before the expiry date to keep it in the force.
You can also get a driving licence for other vehicles with special requirements. You require a specific licence to drive a large vehicle (category C) and you have to be aware of the specific rules for the transport of dangerous goods.
A car driving licence in category B allows you to drive a vehicle and trailer that doesn't fit the conditions of category C. This is where the code 96 comes in. The code 96 will be added to your driving licence category B if you've passed both the practical and theoretical tests, but your vehicle or trailer does not meet the requirements for the Category C licence.
To drive such a vehicle you must hold a driving licence for category
